Our Grant Philosophy
As Open Horizon was established at the very end of calendar 2019, our first months as a foundation saw the spread of the global coronavirus pandemic and the explosion of centuries’ old racial oppression in the US erupting into protests against the most recent spate of murders of Black people by law enforcement officials. While these events influenced our initial donations, our early grantmaking is aligned with our core values.
